| This is a copy of the title page to the Book of Genesis from the first edition printing of the Coverdale Bible. Miles Coverdale produced the first complete English Bible to be printed on a press and embellished it with 168 beautiful woodcuts. Though Coverdale was not a Greek or Hebrew scholar, he used his knowledge of Latin and German for the Old Testament and Tyndale's Translation for the New Testament.
